Porcellionides pruinosis “Lotto Mix”

Porcellionoides pruinosis is native to Europe, but has traveled alongside humanity and is now found in many habitats across the globe. It is suspected that the species is actually a conglomeration of several different, closely related, species. They are one of the most popularly kept isopod species due to their ease of care, high level of activity, and the bright range of colors available!

The Lottery Mix pruinosis is a blend of all the color variations of pruinosis isopod. You get everything from tan and blue, orange and cream, marbled, and everything in between. This is one of the most popular isopod cultures we sell as the color and pattern variety is unbeatable!

We raise all our species of pruinosis as cleaner crews, pets, and food for our colony of hungry pictus geckos! Since their exoskeleton is softer and easier to digest they make great food sources for our babies.

They aren’t picky about temperature or humidity, we keep ours at a comfortable room temperature with a little bit of a moisture gradient. They aren’t especially fond of burrowing, so be careful not to let the culture get too dry on top. They eat almost all the common isopod fare and go through cuttlebone and moss especially quickly once the culture starts booming.
